The queen of the ocean knew she could create quite a stir…and she liked it!
Light My Fire – © Sue O’Kieffe 2009
I was inspired to create this doodle after experiencing a really intense coaching session with the wonderful Laura Bly.
It feels so good to cast off all the negative energy that has clogged up the pores of my naturally positive self and throw it all in the funeral pyre. May the ashes be transformed to rise again just like the phoenix . Hot damn.
My own interpretation of this doodle is — first the fire, then the rain to cool and relieve; sweet peace follows along with incredible growth.
(Unfortunately I can’t embed a music player on my blog to go along with this post. Wouldn’t that be perfect to play Jim Morrison’s iconic song for Creative Every Day‘s June theme of sound?)
its been quite a long time since ive had a bout of the flu. betweeen those power naps ive been taking, i was able to finish embellishing this doodle, which went this way and that way in my mind without any particular way to go.
coloring is perfect rainy day sick in bed activity. don’t you think the smell of crayola MUST be healing, in an aromatherapeutic kind of way?
stay healthy, everyone.

YES! – © Sue O’Kieffe 2008
Here is the antidote for those times when it seems like all you hear are resounding no’s. Put a few YESes in your life.
I am grateful for a man in Oz who reminds me on a regular basis to stay positive. My original intention was to post this image in time for his birthday last Monday, but darn it all, my computer decided it was time for a new hard drive and power supply. I have been without computer access since Sunday and I’m still waiting for my local computer gurus to finish finetuning whatever was ailing my poor baby. Thankfully, the harddrive was replaced before it totally crashed.
Note to self: get those files backed up that you’ve been meaning to do for a while.
Anyway, hello Scot and happy belated. Thanks for your wonderful sense of humour and upbeat attitude. You are Positively Fourth Street!

Blood pressure lowering
Calming. Centering.
Om… Om… Om…

Ya. Like that.

Doodling suns makes me happy! Sunshine on my shoulders, and all that!
Going Down in Flames
(Day 4 of Doodle Week)
previously doodled, begging to show off one more time…who is to argue with a dragon going down in flames?
