    • thx marthann. when i was creating this doodle, the tree appeared to me in a visionary way. i had no idea how this was going to turn out. i love when that happens
i came by your blog, since i had never been before. you create some nice work. love mr. mouse. im going to add your site to my blog roll.

  1. Beautiful, wonderful sense of depth. Isn’t it wonderful how zens take on a life of their own? And yet, you are in control the whole time. I always feel like I’m reaching part of myself that would otherwise be hidden away.

  2. I *love* this, Sue. It has movement and direction and quiet white space. It’s just lovely.

I know it’s about the earth, trees, growth and possibilities – but I felt a kind of pulse to it as well. After staring at it for a while, I figured it out – the pear shaped area looks like an abstract heart to me. Not the valentine’s day kind of heart, but a living, beating human heart with branches, valves and veins. And the first line of your poem fits this too – because the heart pumps life and growth as well.

    Love it!

    • Deb, i really appreciate your observation. There was a lot of pulse going on while i was drawing this, as I was thinking about what is really at the heart of my creative life. thanks for following me on twitter and fb fan page, too
